Breaking down, predicting LHSAA’s district races entering Week 9 | Jerit and The Kid

Most of the LHSAA’s district races have take clearer shape as the football regular season heads to Week 9.

Jerit Roser and Jordan Burkett recap notable Week 8 outcomes in the latest “Jerit and The Kid” podcast, before breaking down the status of all those title races statewide and making predictions on how they see each finishing.

Some notable teams such as Amite, Evangel, Hahnville, Haynesvile, KIPP Renaissance, McDonogh 35, Newman, St. Edmund’s and West St. John have all but clinched their leagues.

Other districts will essentially come down major Week 9 matchups — including two battles of unbeaten squads in Notre Dame vs. Welsh, and Caldwell vs. Jena — or Week 10 matchups — such as Landry-Walker at Chalmette, Edna Karr at Warren Easton, Episcopal at Dunham and more.

And then, there are the handful of more up-in-the-air situations with the potential for even crazier outcomes.

Jerit and Jordan break down all those dynamics and let you know who they see coming out on top.
